I have a blog page for my favorite Colorado Springs photoshoot locations, but we can talk about location on our consultation call. I’m open to other ideas and suggestions, too. Most locations within 45 minutes of Denver are available for most sessions. I also shoot in the mountains such as Breckenridge, CO for an additional fee.

Lighting is best right after sunrise or about 60-90 minutes before sunset. Evenings are best for mountain shoots. Urban shoots can be good both in the morning and evenings.

Yes. If you are rescheduling, it will get applied to the rescheduled appointment. For cancellations (without reschedule) within one week of the shoot, the deposit is non-refundable.

I will send you a Squarespace invoice after our photoshoot for you to pay the balance via credit card. You may also pay by cash in-person.

No, my pricing structure is “all-inclusive”, meaning that the photoshoot and the digital images are included in the price you see. Some photographers offer a super low price for the shoot and then charge you for photo packages and digitals.

Normal turnaround time is about 7-10 days for the initial gallery of edited images. Busy season (Summer-Fall) turnaround time is 10-14 days. Retouching will take an additional 3-4 days.

It depends on the package you choose. This is listed in the package info when booking.

Editing includes basic edits and adjustments to exposure, contrast, coloring, and the overall general look and feel to the image. This is included in every photo that is delivered to you. Retouching is the process of removing blemishes and skin or hair detail that is unwanted. Depending on the session you book, you’ll select a certain number of photos to be retouched, if necessary.

For family/group photos, I’d suggest only one or maybe two. It just gets chaotic and eats up a lot of time if it’s a group of people. For individual portraits, bring as many as you want, and we can try to squeeze in as many as we can within the session. See the packages on the booking page for guidance on that. For example, the Mini Session is about 30 minutes and is usually best for one outfit. But if you are quick and efficient at changing, sometimes we can squeeze in two.

Depending on the location, you may have to change in your car or pop into a restroom and change. It’s just the nature of doing photoshoots outside and in cool or interesting places.

Yes! I’m all for having a support crew.

No. Make accommodations for them to be watched during the session. Only exception is if the animal is for emergency support.

I will send you a link to a digital gallery where you can download them all. They will be in JPEG format.

Yes. I will send behind the scenes video footage as an additional or per the client's request via digital gallery, USB and/or DVD video.

I got my first camera in 2017 and started out shooting travel and vacation photos. I have been working as a Quality Engineer in the Automotive and Medical Device industries for over 10 years (I'm kind of seasoned you feel me!). Eventually, I will become a full-time photographer, using my image barring (dad joke) gifts to honor God and his kingdom!

I shoot with two Nikon D3300 cameras and Sigma prime and wide-angle lenses. My go-to lenses are the Sigma 85mm f1.4 (Headshots), Sigma 50mm f1.4. (Headshots, Portraits, Events) and Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 (Portraits, Events, Real Estate).

During Spring and Summer, I recommend booking 1-2 months out. All other seasons, book at least 2 weeks in advance.

Weather in Colorado is always variable, and I know life can be unpredictable at times, so rescheduling is okay. Photo sessions canceled and not rescheduled are subject to losing the deposit, if canceled within one week or less of the photoshoot.

Usually, no. But yes, if you are willing to pay $1500 and sign a contract handing over the photography rights to you.
